My name is Gary Klugiewicz and I’m a Director at Verbal Defense & Influence, the exclusive licensee and re-certification body in the US for Dr. Thompson’s Tactical Communications training program.

We have been working on a major update to Tac Com training — so, if an instructor’s certification has expired or will expire within the next 14 months, re-certification by the end of 2012 is required.

The new Verbal Defense & Influence curriculum is the result of refinements made and tested in the field over the last several years and the implementation of a new form of instruction called Interactive Performance-Based Training.

Therefore, it is critically important that all Tac Com (Verbal Judo) instructors attend a re-certification program by December 31, 2012 — unless they’ve been certified within the last two years. Tac Com instructor certifications will not be valid after that date. While the program remains aligned with the teachings of the late Dr. Thompson, the updated curriculum includes major changes that mandate this re-certification requirement.

Verbal Defense & Influence will be holding Tac Com recertification programs throughout the country during 2012. However, a more cost-effective approach to recertification is to attend the Tactical Communication Instructors Conference in Milwaukee, WI from November 11-13.
