In Vistelar, we use the less than, equal to, and greater than mathematical symbols to describe passive, assertive, and aggressive behavior. This behavior explanation was created by Master Chan Lee. Mike Mastaw, the director of training for the Rawhide Youth Ranch, has now applied these concepts to describe what is necessary to keep everyone safe. He explains the the assertive person (equal to) can create limits on the aggressive person’s (greater than) behavior while allowing the passive person (less than) to feel safe.
